Veteran Iranian actors praised in ceremony

Iranian veteran actors have got a big round of applaud at a ceremony held in Tehran, in celebration of their service to the nation’s art.

Saturday night saw a reunion of great Iranian artists such as Iraj Raad, Behzad Farahani, Esmaeil Khalaj, Mohammad Motee and Fahimeh Rahimnia in presence, while some others who had not been able to participate were also hailed; the latter group comprised actors such as Mohammad-Ali Keshavarz and Shahla Riahi.

The audience gave the veteran actors a big hand, and then it was time to hold a quick memorial for the drama artists who passed away during the past year; artists such as Aref Lorestani and Houshang Azadivar.

Music and traditional art performances were up next, which closed the ceremony.
